Graham has been taking pictures of plants since his late teens. From this intensive study of plants, their origins and cultivation, his interest developed into ways of displaying them with flair and imagination in a garden setting. His unique blend of design skills, practical D.I.Y expertise, sow and grow projects, plant associations and sumptuous containers, all captured on film and backed up by good down to earth writing have established him as one of the most creative and imaginative gardeners working today. He has has written and illustrated two best selling books on containers including Non-Stop Containers, which took four years of planning, planting and growing to complete. For the first time, it charted the progress of a range of containers in a real garden setting, blending a hands-on approach with some of the most inspiring containers seen to date.
Pot Shots is a library of unique images that convey the sheer excitement and spectacle that can be created using containers, in even the tiniest of gardens.
Many of the pictures have a real practical feel having been raised from seed and grown on to maturity. Typically, they include ideas for herbs, fruit and vegetables in edible combinations, seed raised pots, colour themed creations, recycled containers, tropical style, combinations for every season and drought busting selections. Images from the Pot Shots gallery have appeared in books (including the cover of the world's biggest selling book on containers), all the major gardening titles, greetings cards, web sites, National Advertising Campaigns and even puzzles.
